Path Of Exile How Much Dmg Does Blade Fall Do Per Cast

Per
Just tested that 3% cast speed node increases my Ice spear DPS more than 5% spell damage node. Why so?

That really depends on your gear. If you stack spell damage gear and test it again it may give you different results.

Yes, but shouldn't I just hit 5% harder with 5% more spell damage no matter how much of this stat I alredy have. And with 3% icreased casting speed I am going to attack 3% faster which should net to lower overall dps than hitting 5% harder. However after choosing either of this nodes tooltips show the opposite. Maybe I'm assuming a too simple approach to these stats?

Most stats in this game are additive, spell damage and cast speed add to whatever you already have and work off your base damage/cast speed, not your current one.

Base * (1 + increased + increased + increased ..) * (1 + more) * (1 + more) * (1 + more)
Most stats are multiplicative (yes, they ADD up too) in Path Of Exile. Additive are only very few things that use 'more spell damage when ..' or 'more elemental damage'. But I'm sure you meant to right thing.. ;)

Pretty sure you have additive and multiplicative backwards.

If you got 2 Items with 5% Spell Damage (10% Spell Damage overall) they always improve your Base Damage and thus are working additive.
Example with 100 Base Damage:
1: (100*(1+5%+5%))=110
The Spell Damage is additive and 5% increased Damage will always
increse the damage by 5%.
But if you get too much Spell Damage, Increased Attack Speed will get more effective.
If you got 50% Spell Damage with 100 Base Damage and get another 5% Spell Damage, it will only increase the Damage by 5% of the Base Damage (100). By getting Attack Speed by 5% you will increase your Damage by 5% of the Overall Damage (150).
Example with 100 Base Damage and 150% Spell damage:
(Base Damage*Increased Spell Damage*Attacks per Second)=Damage
(100*150%*1.00)=150
5% more Spell Damage:
(100*155%*1.00)=155 (5%*100=5 more Damage)
5% more Attack Speed:
(100*150%*1.05)=157.5 (%%*150=7,5 more Damage)
Sry if it is hard to understand the way i wrote it, i tried my best

Obviously there is a diminishing point of return on spell damage based on the replies above. The best thing if you want to be absolutely sure what would be more beneficial would be to use a calculator and the formula that was given to determine which way to go. That or you could use a respec point if you think you went the wrong way on the skill tree.
Think of it this way though. At low levels, spell damage will outweigh cast speed, but as you level up it will reverse as you start doing more and more damage. Also, you can choose gear that will compliment the way you are trying to go. For instance, if you go for spell damage on items, then go for cast speed on the skill tree. This way you can maximize both at the same time. When it comes to items though, it is always helpful to open your character sheet and inventory and swap items to see which gives the better damage.

It is better to not have to think about your build and rather just dump all your skill points into the same exact thing as well as build your gear the same way? D3 my friend..
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

Path Of Exile How Much Dmg Does Blade Fall Do Per Cast Iron

Can you download netflix shows on mac to watch offline. Path of Exile only has a few skills in this category and only Cyclone and Flicker Strike see much use later in the game. Charged Dash was intended to fill a similar role for Elemental conversion attacks with a unique twist on the gameplay. Just curious on what is the best passive upgrades to make this skill more powerfull. Im basically using every type of dmg except spell. Im using two unique knives right now but will be switching over to the fortress claw when i can. I know projectile dmg will help it, and probably elemental dmg. Should i increase cold dmg and will physical dmg increase the dps as well Thanks for any help, its. Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast.
