By ✰Castor✰#45630 4 years ago ( 7.8.1 ) Kalator#7340 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Does that also mean that these are multiplicative like other mitigation or addictive? Meaning if you stack all 5 on will it be 5% or will it be 1% x 1% x 1% x 1% x 1%? SirOsis>>s#83264 in reply to Kalator#7340 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) OK, so..can you provide an example of 'multiplicative mitigation'? I'm pretty sure any awakenings etc. that mitigate, or deliver damagestatus ailments are all additive. For example, if you have a leader and a friend who both enjoy 30% gravity active skills a) you wouldn't be able to use them concurrently anyhow, b) if you WERE able to use them simultaneously AND multiplicatively, that would be 30x30=900%, when 100% would be the max you could theoretically dish out anyhow. Another example would be time extend awakenings. If you have 3 of these at a half second each you receive 1.5 seconds..additive. Lastly, and yes, I'm aware as I finish this that I've probably been trolled into responding..1x1x1x1x1=1..1% of 100% is, you guessed it..ONE. Its the Ritalin..I just can't help but respond. By Jerry@LL#10976 4 years ago ( 8.4.1 ) keoki#57341 4 years ago ( 8.4.1 ) By Riven#82248 3 years ago ( 8.4.1 ) So the elemental resist is the best. at least 5 equal 1 awakening. Much better than the others that don't come close unless you have multiple monsters with it. By rainer#75664 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) I agree that the latent awakening effects are miniscule in comparison to their base awakening counterparts, but I feel like latents are best approached as extensions of the creature's base awakenings. Meaning if you were wanting to utilize a full set of Fire Resistance Latent Awakenings you need to first acquire and develop a creature that either.. 1) Provides any significant number of base awakening skills that provide an inherent fire resistance to a larger extent based on the larger degree of resistance provided by these base awakenings. Number of these is really subjective to the user's notion of what they need for their team to prevail. -or- 2) Has a leader skill that provide a steady, inherent damage reduction. Not to say that this creature needs to act as leader in every case, but when and where they player's needing the added fire resistance the creature can be switched to leader in order to provide it. Seems to me that if the basic awakenings provide 4% resistance, even one of those skills would be a decent foundation on which an additional 1-5% resistance could really shine through whereas the latents alone would otherwise be perceived as having a negligible effect. I think everyone just sees that these are totally open ended in their placing and start applying them with no rhyme or reason, hoping that they will make every one of their creatures omnipotent. Or try to make a 5 creature team that will stand up to every single level of every dungeon and the fact of the matter is that's just not gonna happen. Instead I say look at the skills each creature is naturally given and from that determine how best to emphasize the right skills that are already there to further specialize that one creature in the context of the different teams your currently developing. By Taupe1030#78750 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 ) Why are these twice as expensive as the other awakening tamadras OrneryRa#61933 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 ) Wroclai#16374 2 years ago ( 9.5.1 ) If you're buying these with MP you're doing it wrong. -Striku-#37071 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 ) If every team member has 5 of the same awakenings, then you'll be able to resist damage by 30%, depending on what attribute resistance you used. That amount of resist quite a big deal! SirOsis>>s#83264 in reply to -Striku-#37071 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) And to think, it only costs a meager 500k monster points! Yeesh.. By Boromir#75874 3 years ago ( 8.6.2 ) Their main use, as far as I can see, is to prevent death by 100% gravities. By SirOsis>>s#83264 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Do people really use 20,000 monster points to acquire one % damage resist of a single colour? I find this totally ridiculous. As one post states, that would mean it would cost you 100 000 points for a whopping (sarcasm) 5% damage reduction of a single colour for a single monster. WOW! At the very least, gungho should make these latent awakenings behave as though they were interchangeable monsters that each cost one team point to use. You keep them in your stable, and are able to mix and match as you see fit. You shouldn't have to affix them permanently to one monster. Then, and only then, would I consider the exorbitant cost of these things to be even slightly warranted. This will never happen, of course, due to the fact that dungdough know their clientele very well. As the saying goes: 'There's an (IAP whale) sucker born every minute'. Now that I am aware of the logistics of this latent scheme, I have to laugh when I see someone on my friend list with five of them, all of different colours. 100 000 points for 1% resistreduction of each..the words useless and inconsequential pop to mind. In fact, this seems like such an obvious rip-off that it makes me wonder if the info provided by the posts on this page is even correct. What do you get if you buy a single extend time latent? I sure hope you get a half second..but I am assuming you don't. At least these ones are only 10k. each. Yes, I am too lazy to look it up myself. Let the torrent of down votes begin! Edit: I didn't see the very salient comment made by boromir regarding their use as protection against 100% gravity attacks..nor, obviously, did I make the connection myself. This does legitimize their use if you can afford them, l suppose. Still, I find this to be the ONLY justification for their existence at such a ludicrous cost. Ea#30342 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) I have a few and have yet to spend any mp, they appear in dungeons durong events and are given out as rewards. I see many Japanese players putting one of each resist on each monster in their team, probably to avoid gravoty as stated, but an effectivly free 6% reduction in all damage seems pretty decent, although I agree the price of MP shop monsters are rediculous compared to the amount of points gained by selling monsters. nottravis#49560 in reply to SirOsis>>s#83264 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) 1. Hardly anyone is buying them, unless they're whales AND impatient. They're all easily farmable (except the skill delay resist one, which is only in Mech Hera/Zeus) during events and in Predra Infestation and other special dungeons, and it's much more efficient to farm them so you can use the other drops you get in the course of that than to just buy them. 2. Latents don't REALLY matter until endgame, any of them. They're all slightly helpful before, sure, but the average team still pushing through normals/techs isn't going to notice a huge difference (outside of loading up on time extends, which is still usually helped more by just getting better subs with regular time-extend awakenings) – they're for hitting thresholds for Arena and stuff like that, mostly. And in a lot of endgame, skill delay resist on a sub with haste is the best one by miles. 3. Spending MP on regular Tamadras is an enormous waste, just buy the Tama coin dungeon or wait for the guerrilla dungeon. SirOsis>>s#83264 in reply to Ea#30342 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Yes, but the reduction, in the case of colour resist tamas is only one percent per slot..for ten k!!! If you spend 50k MP for one of each colour, I don't see any way of making a sound argument as to the logic or efficacy of such a purchase. The difference such a miniscule reduction in dmg would make is soooo negligible as to be akin to swatting a single mosquito in a closet filled with 1000 of them. You WILL NOT perceive the difference. It will be as though you didn't mitigate the number of bites you will receive AT ALL! I guess I just don't have money to burn. You can make a hell of a lot of REM pulls to try and land a new killer monster, an then also have plenty left over to buy regular tamas to max their awoken skills. Again, the only ones worth the dough, imfo, are the time extend ones. rainer#75664 in reply to nottravis#49560 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) I've actually gotten a single skill delay from the predra infestation special dungeon. Probably extremely rare, but I've gotten more time ext., and resist LA than I have the basic stat/auto-heal ones. By BryanShin#52946 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 ) Everyone, please think of it this way: Everyone wants to hypermax something (whether it be a leader, important sub, or trophy), and it takes a long time to get there. You need 297 plus eggs, but you only get them one at a time. In the same way, these come in 1% each, but having many of them on different monsters is quite a bit. Keep in mind that these were never supposed to exist on many monsters, and that the latent awakening system is an attempt to generalize awakenings to any monster you want, and ones they don't normally have. There has to be a balance to that. Please, the latent awakening system is amazing; it just takes time, just like plus eggs. Sugnite#72719 4 years ago ( 8.4.1 ) It amazes me what people down vote. I read your comment several times to try to figure out why you got so many. I wish I could down vote humanity. Your comment - 100% constructive. My comment - Not 100% constructive but I just couldn't resist. Nevermind - people hate you because you post the same message on every darn latent board. Kirito#46338 in reply to Sugnite#72719 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) Lol love that 'Nevermind' at the end. I was wondering the same thing until I read that. SirOsis>>s#83264 in reply to Kirito#46338 3 years ago ( 8.7.0 ) The down votes are because of the overly simplistic justifications, and the ludicrous comparison to plus egg hunting. They are not even remotely similar. The eggs are FREE, and all that is required is patience and luck. Such a comparison quite seriously calls into question this person's state of mind andor IQ. If you've fallen and smacked your head, do yourself a favour and best try staying awake for the night. Might not wake up in the morning. Dude is probably a 13 yr old troll who knows they're garbage. Oh well, good thing I can type so fast and clearly enjoy sharing my unbribled narcissism and unrivaled brilliance with the likes of you ham-fisted orb shufflers. |

By ✰Castor✰#45630 4 years ago ( 7.8.1 ) Fate/VNSN#10145 4 years ago ( 8.1.1 ) I would actually rather they be more expensive and give more of a reduc. this just seems useless Susitna#92731 in reply to Fate/VNSN#10145 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) By TMNZB#69697 3 years ago ( 8.4.1 ) Am I wrong to think the best use of these is to load 5 (5% sum) on monsters which already have 4 or 5 water dmg reduction awakenings? (4 would go from 20% to 25%, and 5 would go from 25% to 30%) Thus letting you nearly or totally cancel damage for one attribute with more options for last subs. Downvotes don't belong on this comment IMO. We do not all know all these things and it is VERY helpful for planning purposes. Every box is different as are the goals of every player; Bryan Shin, you touched on what is important to know. If I could reverse all the down votes and unhide the comment permanently, I would. But then, we ALL peek at the hidden ones, don't we?..guaranteeing they get read.. ;-) Meems@PG#85039 in reply to Susitna#92731 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 ) @BryanShin: I'm actually using these reduction awakenings on all my Pad Z dragons. It makes a huuuuuge difference on the Green Puppeteer team I have. I'll be able to have an extra 30% water reduction just from using these. Don't know why your comment was downvoted so much; latent damage reduction is so underrated. |
